New Art!

Elderly lady dreams of first love, a WWII soldier that never returned home from the war. She welcomes the darkness and the dream. The silence of the past and long lost love, days gone by, but the memory remains forever close in her heart.

Inspired by the Simon and Garfunkel song The Sound of Silence

Hello darkness, my old friend,
I’ve come to talk with you again,
Because a vision softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence.

I wanted the richness of her memory to be in color. Youth. Life. Love… and her present day to be the darkness of reality and sleep. Dreaming of days gone by.

Hope you enjoy 🙂
